The Big Blue Lowdown

With the season tipoff getting closer, reality is beginning to set in around Kentucky basketball. Sure, this has the potential to be one of the best Wildcat teams of the past 10 years. But truthfully, there are still a lot of question marks.

As deep and talented as the roster is, the Cats will rely on several players with absolutely zero college playing experience. In a rugged SEC, it’s fair to say that UK’s youth will lead to some disappointing moments.

But until then, there is still time to bask in the hype around the incoming recruiting class. The following John Wall compilation might do more to boost expectations of this upcoming season than any other piece of information you are likely to see.

The athletic ability displayed by Wall in these clips is astonishing. This guy has the potential to be an immediate difference maker on par with some of the great true freshman in Kentucky history—guys like Rex Chapman, Ron Mercer and Jamal Mashburn.

The amazing thing about Wall is his versatility. He demonstrates equal prowess with his left or right hand and can shoot it with either from within 15 feet. He can leap off of one or two legs, and shows unrivaled vertical explosiveness from a standing position off two.

With Bledsoe most likely handling PG duties, fans may be treated to the total package this year, as Wall will be able to score from the wing, drive the lane or post up as necessary.
