Looking Ahead for Tournament Bogeymen

Are there any teams that UK has played so far that I'd be afraid to see again?

Not Oklahoma, I thought we were better than they were.

Not Notre Dame, they just didn't have enough scoring punch after Hansbrough to be too fearsome.

Not North Carolina--hell, no!  We played awful and still should've beat them in their own house, I have no worries about seeing them in the Sweet Sixteen.

Not Indiana, they can be dangerous but our athleticism bested them once before and would best them again.

Not Connecticut, I got a feeling that UK got a face first look at UConn's best game.  Wouldn't be surprised if the Huskie don't play as well all year as they did in Maui.  Not to diminish Kemba--he's the man!--but the rest of the team wasn't so scary that I think UK couldn't figure them out next time.

Not Portland, East Tennessee or Boston U either.  I doubt we will see them again but none of them should beat us.

HOWEVER, there is one team I'd rather not see again this year: Washington. I thought they were just like us, only not quite as good. But come March, they just might be more us than we are!  And that's scary.

I agree. I think Washington is easily the most talented team the Cats have faced, top to bottom. The Cats hit some clutch shots in that one and Washington played a little frenetically and emotionally. Plus, their best player Isaiah Thomas Jr. had a shitty game. If the Cats get Poole into the rotation to develop some more depth, they could make a deep run. Their biggest problem might be the SEC East. What a minefield. If they somehow get Kanter though…watch out!

I agree. Washington is a tough team to beat.
